ABOUT ME

Nia Johnson is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at Duke University.

Nia Johnson’s scholarship lies at the intersection of health policy, bioethics, race, and the law. Her work aims to study implicit biases and explicit discrimination in the delivery of healthcare throughout the United States. The goals of her work are to create a more equitable in the equitable distribution of healthcare resources.

Nia received her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies at Oakwood University, her Masters of Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania, and her law degree from Boston University School of Law. While attending Boston University School of Law, she served as the Editor-in- Chief of the American Journal of Law and Medicine from 2018-2019.

Nia has also received a Ph.D from Harvard University in Health Policy, with a concentration in Political Analysis.
