Show notes:

In the first segment, we discuss a North Carolina senior apartment complex banning the word “Bible” from community advertisements. Our panelists examine whether this is a violation of religious freedom under the Fair Housing Act or a justified policy decision. Should religious residents have the same rights as others to advertise their events, or is the complex within its rights to restrict certain language?

In the second segment, we break down the National Religious Broadcasters v. IRS lawsuit over the Johnson Amendment, which restricts nonprofits from endorsing political candidates. Todd and Wang debate whether this is a necessary separation of church and state or an unconstitutional limitation on religious free speech. Should religious organizations have the same political speech rights as nonprofit newspapers?

About the Show: Faith & Politics is a show dedicated to discussing issues surrounding the intersection of Church, State and politics and the examination of whether you are allowing your faith to shape your politics or your politics starting to shape your faith.
